Patricia is a Registered Psychotherapist. She is a native Brazilian who has lived in the US for over 20 years. From Purdue University, she holds a master’s degree in Child Development and Family Studies with an emphasis on family therapy. For the past 5 years she has worked in a school setting to provide opportunities for optimal development and learning but she has over twenty years of experience working with children and their families. Patricia’s cross-cultural experience and trilingual skills promote a genuine connection with every family member. Her ability to establish strong and long-lasting partnerships with families and kids gives her the opportunity to empower every family to overcome their challenges and become an integral part of their children’s development.

Patricia’s work has always been based on validated practices, best available research, as well as children’s and families’ strengths and needs. She had the opportunity to work in clinical settings with multicultural families and children in the US and in Brazil. Her work is guided by Polyvagal Theory, Solution Focused Therapy, and Play Therapy. She enjoys the demands as well as the blessings of providing individualized support and resources to meet every child and their family’s needs in a cultural-sensitive environment.

Patricia thrives in working collaboratively in an interdisciplinary setting while having the opportunity to explore ways to improve her work with children and their families. She is a past board member for the International Family Therapy Association and is the current Postpartum International Coordinator for Spanish and Portuguese speaking families in the state of Colorado.

In her free time, Patricia enjoys being with her family, which includes her two daughters and her husband of 25 years, as well as spending time with friends and traveling the world. young boys.
